Teaching people to be good online is necessary because some people don't know any better and no one is watching them. Law enforcement cannot investigate everything even if there is an electronic trail. They have to let some stuff go. If people are taught not to do things we don't have to worry as much about petty crimes.

Students K-12, teachers, college students, those taking online classes, and workers being trained all have distinct forms of netiquette.

In elementary school netiquette can be taught to supplement the curriculum. Teaching basic search techniques to elementary school kids is good netiquette. This teaches kids what an appropriate search is. Netiquette can be integrated into the curriculum of kindergarten through highschool education. Furthermore, Netiquette can be it's own subject.

Using good netiquette netiquette will make you a better student and teacher because the internet offers so many educational resourse.

As an educational tool the internet has found a legitimate place. This makes netiquette, internet etiquette, eligible to be an educational subject as well. Netiquette is as important as learning to read and write. Now, knowing how to use the internet is a requirement in getting a good education. You have to know how to count, read, write, and surf the net to consider yourself educated.
